El Primo:

Our first line is 3 generations or more bred out of  100% Irema Curto  lines of Vento De Irema Curto  and Nestor De Irema Curto sires/dams. The pups and adults selected  for El Primo are/were confident to extremely confident pups at home or abroad. Along with very good or excellent play/work ethic from the age of 5 weeks and above selecting pups who performed consistent and improved as they age. All pups and adults must have shown a full bite from 5-10 weeks . At 10 -12 months capable and ready from bite work along with a balanced disposition that one can trust with all family members. Agility, conformation, focus, endurance and overall attitude at the top level consistently being monitored by the scope of IPRESA’s three phase 1st year growth assessment.This is brief summary of the traits/abilities  needed to enlisted/accepted into the El Primo breeding and training cultivation .

Trait: Confident from the age of five weeks and above.  High prey drive able to train easily visa via prey drive. Very agile, fast with innate amount of endurance.  Confident in most urban environments, parks, forests, stadiums and supermarkets etc.  Ready to engage any opposing threat man/men or animal at the same time obedient to his handler to the command “Calm Down” or “Easy”. The quick switch that enables a well bred Presa Canario to turn on and off when the necessity dictates worst case scenario not so easy to to turn off (working homes only!).  We would prefer that at 2 years of age our Presa’s can take full sticks strikes to the head, between the eyes, on the legs and ribs at will however releasing the bite on command. Again able to run a football field/race track in the heart of summer down south, north east or the winters of the mid west multiple times willing to go without quit regardless of the weather. Full mouth biters, hard pressure on bites, calm head in all bites.Fast on all fours with excellent movement and agility. Strong bite able to hang on to the average size car tire. Natural wind genetically willing and capable of jumping up and down for hours waiting his or her turn to engage into the fight of man.

Type:Fierce, well boned, thick necks, large head huge teeth! Males: 90- 115 at one year 110-129lbs at three years of age. The ability to easily leap vertically up to a man shoulders 6 feet tall + .Very Muscular body,  muscular built head, jaws, neck, shoulders, front legs, chest, ribs set and back legs! Dark eyes and mouth lining. All brindle except blue, all fawns and black.

Female: 85lbs -105lbs at one year and 105-119lbs at three years of age. Fierce, well boned, thick necks, large head huge teeth! adults easily leaping vertically up to or over a man shoulders 6 feet tall .Very or Muscular built head, jaws, neck, shoulders, front legs, chest, ribs set and back legs! Dark eyes and mouth lining. All brindle except blue, all fawns and black.

We hope to improve and add our up and new coming bloodlines  by adhering to traditional methods of breeding and selection from the age of 5 weeks to 14 weeks. We  line breed tight, consistent and careful.
Overall we chose not to breed into any Presa Canario pups that were nervous, shy, to big, low prey drive, not outgoing, lack of full bite, no concentration of bite within different environments or made up distractions , too much barking or crying within time spent within his/her first 5 weeks to 14 weeks of urban pack life even if this pup matured into a working adult male/female. However there are exceptions to this principle in our breeding program.

Our respects to Senor Curto for breeding a strong line of out of the Leon to make the Nestor and Vento De Irema Curto. Therefore we have in N.America since 2003 chose and bred out this line of Presa on the sire and dam side of the pedigree.  Since there is always room for improvement we chose to focuse on the inate traits that make for a balanced hard working dog. The benefit of line breeding is that we are able to work improving type and trait with continuity each litter. Therefore we are able to detail and select from the age of 5 weeks to 14 weeks with confidence and a higher point of accuracy.

We have a listed conditions for a pup to be selected for our El Primo line which in short take a maximum of 18 months along with previously mentioned traits and types. After feedback from the counsel of care holders of selected potential representatives and it;s completed phases . Ipresa’s Captain  announces via this wordpress page the  title of “El Primo” to it’s  chosen few.
